The release date of the second season of Marvel’s Luke Cage is out. The comic book hero is returning on Netflix on 22 June. The teaser from the upcoming season shows Luke Cage becoming a ‘celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin’.

After clearing his name in the first season, which premiered on the streaming service in September 2016, Luke Cage is set to come face-to-face with a new enemy this season. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke will be forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.

Being so visible has only increased his need to protect the community and find the limits of who he can and can’t save. Catch the teaser below:

Directed by Lucy Liu, the series stars Mike Colter, Simone Missick, Alfre Woodard, Theo Rossi, Mustafa Shakir, Gabrielle Dennis, and Rosario Dawson, who also appeared in Marvel’s Daredevil. House of Cards actor Mahershala Ali has also made some appearances in the first season.
