The trailer of Karenjit Kaur; The Untold Story of Sunny Leone has just been released. The Sunny Leone biopic web series on Zee5 stars the actor herself and is being directed by Aditya Datt.
The trailer shows Sunny’s journey, from growing up as a middle class Sikh girl in Canada to becoming first an adult, and then a Bollywood star. There are also glimpses of how the actor tackles labels like “prostitute”. As Sunny herself says towards the end of the trailer, it’s a story of “guts”. Check out the trailer here:
The 11-episode first season has Rysa X playing the younger Sunny, while a South African actor has been finalised for the role of her husband, Daniel Webber.
The first season of Karenjit Kaur; The Untold Story of Sunny Leone premieres on 16 July.
