Modern Love will premiere on 18 October. The series is being produced by John Carney. The episodes have been helmed by well-known directors like Sharon Horgan, Tom Hall (Sensation), Emmy Rossum (Shameless), and Audrey Wells (Under the Tuscan Sun).

Cristin Milioti (How I Met Your Mother), who also stars in the series, called her episode “beautifully nuanced.” She said that after her protagonist develops an unusual bond with her doorman, a beautiful father-daughter relationship blossoms. She further added that their relationship had so many things that are unspoken. “It’s a love that’s hard to put your finger on, which some say is the best kind of love,” she said.
