‘M.O.M’ Teaser: ALTBalaji Maps Mangalyaan’s Journey in New Drama
The cast includes Sakshi Tanwar and Mona Singh.
A day before Akshay Kumar-starrer Mission Mangal hits theatres, ALTBalaji has released a teaser for their upcoming web series – M.O.M - Mission Over Mars. Like the film, the series focuses on the women who were instrumental in launching the Mars Orbiter Mission, or Mangalyaan, India’s first mission to Mars in 2013. It features a cast of familiar faces from television, including Sakshi Tanwar, Mona Singh, Nidhi Singh and Palomi Ghosh, in roles similar to that of their big screen counterparts Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu and Kirti Kulhari.

From the teaser, the tone of the show appears more sombre than that of the film. It offers a short glimpse of the control room of ISRO scientists and introduces us to the women behind the mission who are determined to see it through. The makers have specified that the series is a fictionalised retelling of the events behind the launch of India’s first mission to Mars.
