The 71st Primetime Emmy Awards were held at Los Angeles, are presented by The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, on 22 September.

Some popular shows that were nominated this time include Game of Thrones, This is us, Chernobyl, Netflix’s When They See Us, Black Mirror and more. Indian shows like Sacred Games and Lust Stories have also been nominated in the international category

Patricia Arquette won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series for The Act, and the Emmy for Outstanding Directing of a Limited Series went to Johan Renck for Chernobyl. Ben Whishaw won the Emmy for Supporting Actor in a Limited Series for A Very English Scandal, and the awards for Best Writing went to Craig Mazin for Chernobyl.
