As much as the artists who were nominated but didn’t win are feeling them… so are the fashion police patrolling the Golden Globes 2016 red carpet. The blues hit the red carpet with much aggression this year, comfortably replacing the predictable black and scarlet choices as the preferred colours for the night.

We also loved these two eye-catching, high-on-bling numbers in the blue family. Viola Davis in Marchesa and Jenna Dewan Tatum in Zuhair Murad impressed us as they shone like the midnight sky.

Metallic blues also walked down the red carpet with Julianne Moore in this Tom Ford number. Melissa McCarthy in a much slimmer avatar was also in focus for the disco inspired jazzy piece.

Other than these stands out Gina Rodriguez, Jamie Lee Curtis, Bryce Dallas Howard and Calista Flockhart were also seen in shades of blue.

The men too contributed to the blue love on the carpet. Sly Stallone in the deep blue suit and Alan Cumming in the indigo blue jacket sure made for a good break from the men in black.
