Emraan to Play Azhar in Movie; Teaser Timed With IPL Final

Azhar is based on the life of Mohammad Azharuddin, with Emraan Hashmi playing the part. The trailer releases today

Mohammad Azharuddin’s cricket career is nothing short of a film plot. There were high points, and then there were low points. From hitting three tons from his first three Tests, to being a great fielder, to being the skipper of the Indian cricket team, Azharuddin was a shining star.

But the end to his career was rather tragic, with him receiving a life ban for his  alleged involvement in match-fixing.

Now a movie, Azhar is being made on his life, with Emraan Hashmi playing his part. And the teaser is coming today on an IPL show.

Now, cricket and Bollywood tamasha are one helluva combination, we say!
