Seriously guys, it’s time you identify Varun Dhawan, Bollywood’s latest Bhai-in-the-making. The Student of the Year graduated to became Main Tera Hero and we didn’t even realise when it happened. Well, until now.
Varun Dhawan has been widely regarded as the next king of comedy – the man who will walk in Govinda’s shoes. But what many don’t realise is that Salman Khan’s shoes that fit him better.
Varun – Da.One!
Many people want to be like Salman but Varun is Da.One! (At least, that’s what we hope!) In the times of Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, Varun is slowly owning the limelight, just like Sallu Bhai did during the Aamir and Shah Rukh era. In between Bajirao Mastani and Tamasha, the Dilwale star rose out of Shah Rukh Khan’s shadow and shone in the film.
While his counterparts have already released big banner films, Varun is the tortoise in the story, who is taking slow, steady steps. He’ll probably win in the end. ’Cuz, Hamara income high ho na ho, outcome to hamara bhi world class hai.’
Comic Jalwa!
The only other person who could pull this dialogue off would be Salman. Varun, like Bhai, is a spontaneous actor when it comes to comedy and it’s his comic jalwa and dhaasu dialogues that help sail an average film to Box Office shores. And a little help from Bhaijaan would give Varun’s films a Kick, even if it involves just his name in a random dialogue.
Aap karen toh raas leela ... main karon toh bhai ki tarah character dheela.
Abs-olutely Fun!
Both dudes love to bare it all and their ripped body is a delightful sight for us to see. Salman has proudly flaunted his perfectly toned body in his films and inspired other actors to go the abs way.
And Varun seems to prefer the bare minimum look in his films and otherwise too. Both actors have no qualms about it and neither do we! Jai Ho!
Be Like Salman!
Even the filmy duniya seems to think that Salman and Varun are similar. Varun’s daddy, David Dhawan, is all set to cast his son in the sequel of Judwaa: the role which was once played by the cute Sallu Bhai in the late ’90s.
Achcha forget family. Karan Johar is also all set to endorse brand Varun in his much-awaited Shuddhi that was initially offered to Bhai, which he later refused. Bhai’s loss is Varun’s gain. But Salman isn’t upset about it. In fact, he tweeted to the young actor wishing him luck.
