According to reports, senior BJP leader L Ganesan has said that Rajinikanth should not act in a biopic on Tipu Sultan offered to him by the leading Kannada producer Ashok Kheny.
Indian Express says, Ganesan believes that the Tamil star won’t take up the role portraying Tipu Sultan as a hero, since Tipu was an aggressor who committed maximum atrocities against Hindus. Other outfits have also warned Rajinikanth against portraying Tipu Sultan as he was anti-Tamil.
But the big point they are missing is that no one tells Rajinikanth what to do. Ganesan and groups like Hindu Munnani have obviously missed out on these Rajinikanth memes.
