Chand Nawab, a popular Pakistani TV journalist suddenly made it to headlines after Nawazuddin Siddiqui portrayed a character inspired by him in Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Nawab is now hoping that Salman Khan or director Kabir Khan will compensate him for the inspiring character.

According to a report in The Express Tribune, the reporter has claimed that he is a “poor journalist” and wants Salman Khan to compensate him since he was used as an inspiration for Nawazuddin’s character.

Nawab said that people have suggested that he should get paid for inspiring the character and he will be meeting Salman soon. And while he cannot disclose when and where, he is hoping for some compensation, the report revealed.

It’s just a request, I’m not going to sue them or go to court over it. If they decide to give it, well and good, otherwise it’s not a problem. This is about Pakistan’s respect, my intention is not to mint money, it’s simply a request.
— Chand Nawab told The Express Tribune

Siddiqui’s character is also called ‘Chand Nawab’, and provides comic relief in the movie.

Here is a video with both the original Chand Nawab reporting live and Nawazuddin Siddiqui portraying ‘Chand Nawab’ in Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
