Kangana Ranaut is in the middle of a controversy again. At the launch event of the Judgementall Hai Kya song Wakhra Swag, she lashed out at a journalist for bashing Manikarnika. When Justin Rao introduced himself, she immediately dug up the old topic and said, “You were bashing Manikarnika. Have I done anything wrong by making a film on nationalism? You called me a jingoistic woman who is making a film on nationalism.” To which the journalist replied that he hadn’t tweeted anything along the same lines. “You cannot intimidate a journalist because you are in a power position”, he said.

Twitter was quick to react to the spat. Detailing the sequence of events, another journo wrote, “ On #JudgementalHaiKya song launch tonight, #Kangana Ranaut intimidated a PTI journalist by falsely accusing him of running a smear campaign against her.

If Kangana gets into trouble, can her sister Rangoli be far behind? She sprung up to support Kangana. “It’s a shame that Justin Rao used to pretend to be her friend but when she spoke against cow slaughter and made nationalist film he did major smear campaign against her”, she wrote.

Some Twitteratis slammed Kangana for taking a jibe at the reporter.

On the other hand, some people went all out to support Kangana Ranaut.

In her argument with the journalist, Kangana said that Justin had come to her vanity van before and spent three hours there. “Of course there can be differences, but I have given you interviews before. You came to my van to interview me during Manikarnika, spent at least three hours there and we had lunch together. However, things have changed drastically after that. You had messaged me also, so don’t tell me I am trying to intimidate you.”

The journalist, however, confirmed that he hadn’t texted Kangana and the interview lasted only half an hour. “If you have the prejudice of twisting whatever I say, I cannot speak to you”, the actor added. Kangana also said that the journalist was harming her brand by saying these things and he had conducted smear campaigns against her.
