Sushmita Sen has hinted that she may be making a comeback to Bollywood soon. The actor took to Instagram to announce that she will return to the big screen after 10 years, though she didn’t divulge further details. “I have always been in awe of love that knows patience!! This alone makes me a fan of my fans!! They have waited 10 long years for my return to the screen, lovingly encouraging me every step of the way throughout my hiatus unconditionally!!! I return for you!!!!!” she wrote.

Sushmita was last seen in Anees Bazmee’s 2010 comedy No Problem, which also starred Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna and Kangana Ranaut. In an interview with Rajeev Masand in June, Sushmita revealed for the first time that she was diagnosed with a hormone deficiency in 2014. She was told take steroids for the remainder of her life, and doctors went as far as recommending that she give up acting and change her profession, as her body could not take the stress.

Sushmita struggled with the illness for two years and underwent treatment in multiple different countries. In 2016, her doctors discovered that her body was producing the hormones again and the steroids were no longer needed. However, she faced withdrawal symptoms for two more years. She says it was this experience that prompted her to take to Instagram to share her life with fans because she was unhappy with the way the media was portraying her.
