When Sushmita was 24 years old, she adopted her first daughter Renee in 2000, followed by her second daughter Alisah in 2010. The actor recently shared a video of her daughter Alisah reciting an essay on adoption and the mommy couldn’t have been more proud. “She had me in tears!!! This magnitude of love, acceptance, security, purity and honesty... the divinity in her convictions... uffff! Just listening to her opens the heart!!!,” Sushmita wrote.

In a recent interview to Rajeev Masand she opened up about the tough battle she had to fight and how her daughters gave her the strength to survive. Sushmita has been very open about her relationship with Rohman Shawl. Her Instagram is a beautiful album that documents the lovely time she spends with her boyfriend and kids.
