Kings United dance crew, who won the reality show World of Dance earlier this year, has been the talk of the town. Adding another feather to their cap is choreographer Suresh Mukund, who led the The Kings to victory. He has been nominated for an Emmy Award in the ‘Choreography for Variety or Reality Program’ category.
Speaking to The Quint, Suresh expresses his surprise and how he was not expecting this at all.
Suresh shared this news with his dad, who was sitting right next to him. After winning World of Dance reality show he was sure good things will come his way, but an Emmy nomination was unexpected. The phone hasn’t stop ringing since. Indian choreographers, from Shiamak Dawar, Bosco to Terence Lewis, have been pouring in congratulatory messages.
While he is all set to attend the prestigious award ceremony in Los Angeles this September, Suresh is hunting for a good stylist who will help him choose the right attire for the big day.
Winning the dance reality show World of Dance and now getting nominated for Emmys, the success has opened up huge opportunities for The Kings and for Suresh himself. Suresh says he sees himself working in Hollywood in the near future.
Apart from films they are being approached for concerts all over the world. They have already shot as guest performers in a Hollywood film. So there is no stopping for Suresh and his dancers. One thing that Suresh is really hoping for is to choreograph music videos in Hollywood. While he would love to work with Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Chris Brown there is one artist he is looking forward to working with.
