SRK: My Next Role Will Be as Sexy as Fans Want It to Be

King Khan spoke about the role of women in the Hindi film industry.

India’s romance king, Shah Rukh Khan, has long been worshipped for his charm on screen. Recently, in an interview with the BBC, Shah Rukh said he would play a “sexy father” if that is what his fans demand.

“So you want me to be a sexy father, a sexy hero, sexy whatever you want me to be. My next role will be as sexy as you want me to be.”

He also spoke about how women are represented in the industry now and how it has changed over the years:

“When I was working in the ‘90s (and) if a lady got married, she normally did not have the opportunity to come back and act in a film but now all of them are acting in films and its so seamless and nice...”

SRK, who himself has faced heat with the Central Board of Film Certification, or better known as the ‘censor board’, commented on the never-ending fight between film makers and the board:

“People are changing, society is changing but culturally I think we are a very strong nation and I think that needs to be respected always.”

Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s Zero. He recently received an honorary doctorate when The University of Law (London) honoured him in Philanthropy. In the interview, he spoke about wanting to “make people happy, now personally and change their lives.”
