Earlier, Boney Kapoor took to Twitter to share the making of the statue. “Sridevi lives forever in not just our hearts but also in the hearts of millions of her fans. Eagerly waiting to watch the unveiling of her figure at Madame Tussauds, Singapore on September 4, 2019.”

In the clip, we see the late actor’s statue being given finishing touches, and being modelled on her hugely popular look in the song Hawa Hawai from Mr India.

A team of 20 artists worked with Sridevi’s family over five months to replicate her expressions, make-up and the iconic outfit. “It was a privilege to recreate a legendary star in close collaboration with her family,” said Lizzie Parkinson, costumier from Merlin Magic Making team in the UK.

“Recreating Sridevi’s outfit was particularly challenging. Her crown, cuffs, earrings and dress brooch were 3D-printed, and went through numerous tests to achieve the level of detail needed”, Lizzie added.
