Shweta Basu Prasad has announced her separation from husband Rohit Mittal after a year of marriage. The Iqbal actor took to Instagram to share the news writing that the couple had “arrived at this decision few months ago in each other’s best interest as individuals”. “Not every book is supposed to be read cover to cover, that doesn’t mean the book is bad or one can’t read, some things are just best left unfinished. Thank you Rohit for the irreplaceable memories and always inspiring me. Have a great life ahead, forever your cheerleader,” she added.
The couple were wed in December last year.
The couple were wed in Pune on 13 December last year. Shweta began her acting career as a child star in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Makdee, Ekta Kapoor’s TV serial Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, and National Award-winning film Iqbal. She later featured as the lead in TV show Chandra Nandini and made appearances in films such as Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt-starrer Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota and Vivek Agnihotri’s The Tashkent Files.
