Lakhs of people have been left homeless and the death toll has risen to 357 as rain continues to lash Kerala. While people from different parts of India are extending help to the state that has faced the worse flood of the century, eminent personalities and celebrities are going out of their way to help the affected.

Shah Rukh Khan's welfare organisation Meer Foundation – which has been actively participating to help and support the needy – has taken yet another step in that direction.

Meer Foundation has made a donation to the Government of Kerala’s Chief Minister Distress Relief Fund. The foundation has made a donation of 21 lakhs to the relief organisation working towards the welfare of victims of Kerala floods.

Meer Foundation, which has been named after the actor’s father, has been working actively so far with acid attack survivors as well as cancer patients.

It isn’t just the actor, however; even his fans are following in his footsteps and doing their bit to help Kerala. From blood donation camps to distributing food, they are doing it all.
