Singer Selena Gomez, who recently lent her voice to Mavis, Count Dracula’s daughter, in Hotel Transylvania 3: A Monster Vacation, wants to sing for composer AR Rahman.

In an interview to Mid-Day, the 25-year-old singer said that she had been following several musicians in India and believed that they are “wonderful”, and she would love to collaborate with AR Rahman.

I like AR Rahman’s work. He is a global figure today. I would love to sing or be part of his compositions. I think it would be beautiful to sing for [a] Bollywood [movie].

Rahman gained global recognition after winning two Oscars in 2009, one for the best original score and for the best original song, both for Slumdog Millionaire.

AR Rahman has also composed soundtracks and music in films like People Like Us (2012),127 Hours (2010) and the Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi’s Muhammad: Messenger of God, among others.

Speaking about her characted in Hotel Translvania, Selena said, “I would be hooked to cartoons as a child. I found it fascinating to modulate my voice according to the part."
