On Wednesday, Salman Khan announced on Twitter that he is launching a newbie in Bollywood. Sharing a throwback photo with the newbie piggybacking Salman, the actor wrote, “Being launched tomorrow. Kal dekhte hai yeh ladka aaj kaise dikhta hai (Tomorrow we’ll see what he looks like today)”.

On Thursday, Salman went on to share details about the newest kid on the block, Zaheer Iqbal.

How did Salman decide to launch him? It was all at his sister, Arpita Khan Sharma’s wedding to Ayush Sharma. Salman saw Zaheer’s killer moves on the dance floor and decided that the world needed this fresh face.

How these kids grow up so soon... Always keep giving your best, Zaheer, no matter what. Stand tall and always bend backwards for those you love and those who love you, Yeh yaad rakhna that the most important thing in life is respect and loyalty.

Meet Zaheer Iqbal, Salman’s newest project for B-town.

SKF will reportedly be producing a love story, set in the backdrop of Kashmir, starring Zaheer opposite a female debutant who is yet to be finalised. Salman is also currently in the process of launching his brother-in-law, Ayush Sharma and several other people in B-Town.

Like all the other newcomers that Salman has launched - namely Sonakshi Sinha, Arjun Kapoor, Sooraj Pancholi - he has personally been involved in Zaheer’s training as well.

Zaheer’s father, Iqbal was Salman’s “bank” as a teen, whom he still owes Rs 2011.
