Mumbai’s realty business is of course one of the steepest in the world. And if you happen to own properties that you can rent out, you are, financially speaking, sorted. Ask Salman Khan. The Tubelight star has leased out 2,140 sq m of his commercial building on Linking Road in Bandra for a whopping Rs 80 lakh per month.

According to a report by DNA, Salman has leased out the property to Future Group which owns Big Bazaar. He would be earning Rs 80 lakh per month for the first five years, post which the rent would be hiked to Rs 89.6 lakh per month. The actor has also taken a deposit of Rs 2.4 crore from the group. The star’s father Salim Khan reportedly did all the paperwork on his behalf.

Kishore Biyani of Future Group, confirmed the deal. He said he'd be opening a food hall on the leased premises. The deal was registered on July 13.

The actor bought the property for nearly Rs 120 crore in 2012 to construct his own commercial building.
