Even after Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt made their relationship official, the curiosity surrounding the B-town couple refuses to die down. From wedding rumours to whether family and friends approve, there’s plenty going on in the world of #Ralia.

In a candid chat with Mumbai Mirror, Rishi Kapoor gave a straight answer about staying out of his son’s personal life and allowing him to make his own choices. When quizzed about whether he likes Alia Bhatt, the actor said,

It’s Ranbir’s life. Who he wants to get married to is his prerogative. Neetu likes her, I like her, Ranbir likes her. Get it? I can’t be judgmental. After all, my uncles Shammiji and Shashiji and I chose our life partners. Ranbir is entitled to choose his.

In one of her earlier interviews, Alia Bhatt mentioned that she could surprise people by getting married earlier than expected and then a stray comment about marriage being on Ranbir’s mind followed. But Ranbir Kapoor has cleared the air about the speculation.

Here’s what he told Hindustan Times:

It’s [such rumours] all a part of show business. You make up a story, and soon, there’s another story of the first story, and so on. I have always believed that marriage is something that will happen naturally. It can’t be like, ‘Okay, I am 35 now, so it’s time to get married’. It should come to you and your partner naturally and you should both feel, ‘This is the right phase. Now, we should take this relationship to the next level’. But abhi aisi koi baat nai hai. I haven’t decided on marriage yet.
