Richard Gere Welcomes Baby Boy at 69!
Richard Gere has a 19-year-old son from his previous marriage to Carey Lowell.
Veteran actor Richard Gere, 69 and his 35-year-old wife Alejandra Silva became parents to a baby boy on Monday, 11 February.
Gere started dating Silva - a Spanish publicist and activist - in 2015, and the couple finally tied the knot last year. While their baby’s name as well as further details are yet to be known, both Gere and Silva have become parents for the second time.
Gere has a 19-year-old son from his previous marriage to actress Carey Lowell, who he was with from 1991 to 1995. Silva, who is the daughter of Ignacio Silva, the former vice president of the Real Madrid Football Club, also has a son from her marriage to Govind Friedland, CNN reported.
Silva has also been documenting her pregnancy. She even broke the news of her and Gere having a baby boy, through a picture from September which she posted on Instagram - of her and Gere receiving blessings from the Dalai Lama. Gere is a practicing Buddhist and a close disciple of the spiritual leader.
However, this picture was deleted by Silva soon after she uploaded it.
