A recent injury from a football match has left actor Ranveer Singh in pain. The Padmaavat actor has been shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming film, Gully Boy, and the injury seems to be looming like a dark cloud. Although Ranveer Singh has been advised to rest by his doctor, the actor won’t be taking any break while shooting for Gully Boy. A spokesperson from Yash Raj Films said that Ranveer is being consulted by his doctors. It is, however, uncertain if he’ll be performing at this year’s IPL ceremony, as scheduled.
Gully Boy is Zoya Akhtar’s next directorial venture, that features Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. The story revolves around street rappers from Mumbai, like Naezy and Divine.
Ranveer has also been working on Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, in which he is playing a police officer, along with Kabir Khan’s 83, where he essays the role of Indian skipper Kapil Dev.
