Ranbir Kapoor is riding high on the success of his latest film, Sanju, which has raked in Rs 145 crore in four days.
Talking about the theme of drug abuse in the Sanjay Dutt biopic, Ranbir confessed that in real life too, he has consumed drugs. In an interview with Asian Age, “I have tried drugs when I was in college and got into bad influence. But I realised that nothing will happen in life if I continue with drugs. When we did that section, I did a lot of research.”
"This film is a good learning for children and youth that five-minutes of ecstasy can destroy your entire life. It’s the worst thing possible. Sanjay was much stronger, a fighter who came out of it and became a star," added the actor.
Ranbir says he is addicted to smoking as well as sweets. "Every man makes mistakes in his life. I am addicted to nicotine now and it’s worse than drugs. And I have addiction for sweets as well," said Ranbir.
Ranbir is now gearing up for his next film, Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmashtra with Alia Bhatt.
On the personal front, the actor admitted to being in a relationship with Alia. In an interview with Rajeev Masand, he spoke about how being with her is rejuvenating for him as an actor. “I think every human being does extraordinary things only when they are in love. So I believe that love is something which is a privilege if it comes in your life and to be in a happy, beautiful positive place in a relationship with, it could be with a girl, a guy, with a friend, your mother, your father, or anybody but when there is some genuine love, it’s really beautiful”.
