1. Wedding Pictures
After Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone, people eagerly awaited Priyanka and Nick’s wedding photographs and they didn’t disappoint. From their mehendi, to the Hindu wedding and the reception, each of their looks was loved by the fans. In fact, it was loved enough to become meme-worthy too!
2. Return to the Met Gala
Priyanka Chopra’s outfits at the Met Gala over the years have been the food for memes on social media platforms as she has always rocked the themes. This year was no different. Her dramatic silver gown with feathered embellishments, a sheer corset and a silver crown, which she paired with over-the-top make-up, along with frosted brows and lashes and raspberry eye-shadow, gave Twitter a chance to compare her to the Mad Hatter.
This Met Gala outing was even more special for the couple, as it was here in 2017 that duo had made their first public appearance, even before their fairytale romance began.
3. “I’m a Sucker for You”
Fans couldn’t keep calm as the Jonas Brothers announced their new song together after a long hiatus, Sucker. The track debuted at no. 1 on the Hot 100 and the video was an instant hit. However, another major reason to rejoice was the video. Priyanka featured in the song along with Sophie Turner and Danielle Jonas. The ‘J Sisters’, as they like to call themselves, shot the video in England with their respective partners. Priyanka and Nick even shared a kiss in the video.
4. When They Walked the Cannes Red Carpet
Priyanka Chopra has made heads turn with her red carpet appearances for several years now, but this year with her husband by her side, she rocked the Cannes International Film Festival’s red carpet too. It was her first outing at the festival and we couldn’t possibly be more excited!
Nick Jonas joined her in Cannes a day later and the two were spotted taking a leisurely walk around the city. Later, the couple also attended the Cannes Chopard’s party.
5. When the Couple Enjoyed Pizza at Cannes
The couple seemed to be having the time of their lives at Cannes. They were spotted feasting on a pizza at their hotel balcony after attending the screening of the French film Les Plus Belles Annees D’une Vie (The Best Years of a Life). While Nick wore an all white tuxedo, Priyanka was seen in a white Georges Hobeika off-shoulder gown. The two seemed to be giving the paparazzi and their fans a show as they gorged on their pizza in between laughs in full public view during a photo session.
6. Nick’s Karva Chauth ‘Essay’
As Bollywood decked out for the Hindu ritual of karva chauth, Priyanka Chopra, despite not being in India, made sure she was on top of the karva chauth celebrations. She took to social media to tell her fans that she celebrated karva chauth at a Jonas Brothers concert. Nick Jonas, however, creates a meme fest on social media as he shared a heartwarming, but essay-like message for his wife, and wished all his Indian fans a very happy karva chauth.
He wrote, “My wife is Indian. She is Hindu, and she is incredible in every way. She has taught me so much about her culture and religion. I love and admire her so much, and as you can see we have fun together. Happy Karva Chauth to everyone!”
7. And We Have an ‘Almost Anniversary’ Gift
Ahead of their first wedding anniversary, Priyanka Chopra surprised Nick Jonas by gifting him a dog. Nick took to Instagram to share a video where he’s still in bed and is being woken up by a little German shepherd. Priyanka, who was taking the video, can be heard saying “Good morning” and “Oh, he doesn’t have a name yet.” Nick has also shared pictures of himself with the sleeping puppy. Their dog is named ‘Gino’ and already has his own Instagram account!
