Recently, Priyanka Chopra and team wrapped up the shooting of their upcoming film The Sky Is Pink. The film stars PeeCee and Farhan Akhtar as a married couple and Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf playing the roles of their children. During the wrap up party of the film, Priyanka Chopra was asked to give a little speech and it seems like she might have taken a dig at Salman Khan’s recent blockbuster Bharat.

In an video that surfaced on Instagram, Priyanka can be seen talking about why she chose The Sky Is Pink over other projects that may have come her way. She explains that many people questioned her judgement when she chose The Sky Is Pink over a typical “tentpole, song-and-dance” Bollywood film. Here’s what she says:

“And everyone questions my judgement about why this movie? Why not this tentpole, potboiler, song-and-dance movie?”

As soon as she says this, Producer Siddharth Roy Kapur, who is standing right beside her, interrupts and asks her, “I wonder which film you’re talking about?”. At which point the entire room, including Priyanka, erupts into laughter.

From the looks of it, it seems like Priyanka, unknowingly, took a dig at the recent Bharat controversy involving her. Priyanka was originally supposed to star in Salman Khan’s Bharat. However, due to personal reasons she had to back out last minute. This didn’t seem to do too well with the Dabangg star who couldn’t keep himself from taunting Priyanka about leaving one of the biggest films of her career when she backed out of Bharat.

Further in the video, Priyanka also talks about playing the mother of an 18 and 21-year-old in The Sky Is Pink, and how it was the director, Shonali Bose, who convinced her to agree to be a part of the project.

Priyanka also took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message about the conclusion of The Sky Is Pink. “Thank you so much to Our crew who worked tirelessly for 10 months to make this special piece of cinema. I love you all,” she wrote.
