Sonu Nigam is now at the heart of, what is now known the azaan controversy, and it looks like people will bring in anything to keep it alive. The whole storm began after the singer tweeted this earlier this week.
What followed was of course a heated discussion on the use of loudspeakers in religious places, a fatwa, Nigam getting his head shaved and so on.
But now an old video of Priyanka Chopra has been unearthed by netizens and is making the rounds as a counter to Sonu Nigam’s tweet. In the video, Priyanka is heard saying how much she loves the sound of the azaan, which could be heard on the terrace where she was once shooting.
