All You Need To Know About ‘Bigg Boss 13’ Contestants
Here’s a list of all the contestants who have appeared in this season of Bigg Boss.
One of the most awaited reality shows on Indian television, Bigg Boss 13 premiered on 29 September, and this year Colors TV decided to with only celebrity contestants. It’s just the first week and we are still getting to know this year’s housemates.
Here’s a little background on each of the Bigg Boss 13 contestants.
Devoleena Bhattacharjee
She gained popularity with the role of Gopi Modi in Star Plus’s drama Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. Devoleena had replaced In 2012, Devoleena was hired overnight as a replacement to actor Giaa Manek. The actor got into several controversies involving her co-stars on the show, including one with Vishal Singh with whom she had a big showdown over her misbehaviour with senior actress Vandana Vithlani. Later, Devoleena alleged that co-star Utkarsha Naik had abducted her dog from the sets.
Sidharth Shukla
An established TV actor, Sidharth is best known for starring in Balika Vadhu and hosting Saavdhaan India. He also starred in film, Humpty Sharma KI Dulhaniya, starring Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan.
Koena Mitra
She is known for films such as Road, Musafir and Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena. Koena will return to the big screen after quite some time. The Kolkata-born actor has done many beauty pageants before. In 2001, she won the beauty pageant Gladrags Mega Model India 2001. She later became one of the top 12 semi-finalists for Miss Intercontinental Pageant in Germany.
Dalljiet Kaur
A TV actor, Dalljiet is known for her roles of Niyati in Kulvaddhu, Anjali in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? and Manjiri in Kaala Teeka. She was also crowned winner of Nach Baliye with Shaleen Bhanot. She also got married to Shaleen, but the couple had a bitter divorce after their son was born. Dalljiet quit the show Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payegaa to take part in Bigg Boss 13.
Siddharth Dey
Siddharth has been a successful reality show writer. He is very close to Salman as he writes the scripts for the actor’s world tours . Siddharth has also worked with many Bollywood actors and producers from the TV industry as a writer.
Rashami Desai
Rashami’s real name is Divya Desai and she started off with Bhojpuri films. After that she went on to become a popular TV star with Uttaran, where her character’s name is Tapasya. She fell in love with co-star Nandish Sandhu on the sets of the show. The two got married after Uttaran ended, but got divorced in 2015. Rashami has been a part of many reality shows and was last seen in Dil Se Dil Tak. She was rumoured to be dating co star Sidharth Shukhla, but later they had a fallout and ended things on a bad note. Sidharth and Rashami have come face-to-face on Bigg Boss 13 and we are waiting to see how the drama unfolds.
Abu Malik
Anu Malik’s younger brother Abu Malik is a contestant on Bigg Boss. Abu is also a music composer and he organises shows. He recently wrote a book called Rantings of a Mad Man. His son Adaar Malik is a comedian.
Arti Singh
Arti Singh is the niece of Govinda and sister of popular comedian Krishna Abhishek. She has been part of TV shows like Waarish and Parichay. Arti is known to lose her temper on the sets of shows.
Mahira Sharma
Mahira hails from Jammu and she has been a part of many videos and commercials. Mahira has been known for shows such as Naagin and Kundali Bhagya. She is a popular Tik Tok star and was last seen in the MTV show A Date To Remember.
Shehnaaz Gill
The actor, model and singer hails from Punjab. She has featured in music videos of singers such as Garry Sandhu, Ranveet Singh and Guri. Shehnaaz has also sung Punjabi singles like Sarpanch and Burberry. She made her debut with the Punjabi film Kala Shah Kala with Sargun Mehta this year.
Paras Chhabra
The reality TV star has been a part of many TV shows but made more news with his affairs. The Delhi- based actor was a winner of Splitsvilla 5 and later gained popularity as actress Sara Khan’s boyfriend. Later, he was dating actress Pavitra Punia and is currently in a relationship with actress Akansha Puri.
Asim Riaz
Asim is a fitness model and he is the only newcomer this season.
