A day after Shaza Morani was discharged from Nanavati hospital, her sister and actor Zoa Morani has been discharged from Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital after recovering from the coronavirus. She took to her Instagram stories to announce the good news with a selfie.

In the picture, Zoa is seen wearing a surgical mask, with hospital staff wearing protective gears visible in the background. “Time to say goodbye to my warriors from space and keep them in my prayers forever! Goodbye isolation ICU. Time for #homesweethome!” her caption read.

Shaza Morani was discharged from the hospital after she tested negative for coronavirus on Sunday.

Shaza, who had returned from Sri Lanka in the first week of March, showed no symptoms but was admitted to Nanavati Hospital, on 7 April where she tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

According to reports, sources close to the family said, “Shaza was discharged on Saturday and will be under home quarantine for the next 14 days as a precautionary measure.” This was her second consecutive negative test, as she first tested negative on Friday, 10 April. Her sister, actor Zoa Morani also contracted the virus and is admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.

On being discharged, Shaza also shared a note on Instagram thanking everyone around her for the support she received while she was hospitalised. Thanking her parents, sister, boyfriend, best friends and the healthcare workers who tended to her, she concluded the post with, “Yours Sincerely, a COVID-19 positive, but also a faith positive patient, Shaza Morani.”

“Though Shaza has tested negative, she has been tested again and the result will be known by tomorrow. We are hoping for it to be negative, too. So, by tomorrow, she can hopefully come back home,” a source close to the family had informed Times of India earlier.

Karim Morani is a close friend of Shah Rukh Khan and has produced Ra.One and Chennai Express. He also co-produced Happy New Year and Dilwale.
