Karan Johar announced the birth of his twins Yash and Roohi a couple of days back. But in an interview to Rajeev Masand last month, the filmmaker had hinted at how ready he was to welcome children into his lives and his determination to be a father.
When quizzed by Masand on if he doesn’t worry about who to leave his company Dharma Productions to, KJo said:
I think it would be very sad if Dharma Productions didn’t continue, if there wasn’t someone to take it forward. There hasn’t been a single day in the recent past when I haven’t thought about children. I have a very strong nurturing quality. I feel like I have all the love to give. My mother and I are completely ready to bring in another life into our lives. We have the ability, the emotional know-how.

But he clarified that he doesn’t want children just to take the company forward.
I will have children. I hope I can. But it’s not important that they take the company forward. If my children are not inclined, I am not going to shove this company down their throat.
KJo went on to add that if he felt the young filmmakers in the company were more capable, he was willing to leave it to them.
