‘Will Slip Out of Our Hands’: KJo Jokes on Ranbir-Alia Wedding

While the crowd laughed at KJO’s joke, Ranbir and Alia smiled awkwardly and exchanged looks.

Karan Johar joked about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt getting so ‘inspired’ by the wedding fever, that they tie the knot themselves.

Karan Johar had everyone laughing in Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s pre-wedding bash, when he joked about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt getting so ‘inspired’ by the wedding fever, that they tie the knot themselves!

Speaking on stage at one of the events, alongside Ranbir, Alia and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani director, Ayan Mukherjee, KJO called the couple a ‘Rab ne bana di jori’.

In the video, he is heard saying:

“We have to say that rab ne nana di jodi (made in heaven couple)...and I wasn’t talking about Akash and Shloka...I was talking about Ranbir and Alia, because clearly wedding season is on and we are just getting inspirational because you never know when Ranbir... woh kabhi bhi haath se ja sakta hai (he can get out of our hands at any point).”

While the crowd laughed at Karan’s joke, Alia and Ranbir were seen smiling awkwardly and rolling their eyes at the suggestion.

The couple reportedly started dating after they began to shoot for their first film together, Brahmastra. Ever since, the duo have been spotted out in public together, travelling abroad, and spending holidays and special occasions in each other’s company. They even travelled to Switzerland for the Akash-Shloka pre-wedding bash, together.
