Uri: The Surgical Strike star Vicky Kaushal on Thursday 1 August shared pictures of himself making traditional Indian rotis for the very first time as he spends some time with the Indian Army.

Vicky made a post on Instagram with the caption, “The first ever roti I made... glad it was for the army.” In the photos, Vicky is seen rolling out rotis from dough and helping out the army cooks. Take a look.

A day earlier, the actor announced that he would be spending some days with the Indian Army stationed at the Indo-China border at Tawang at an altitude of 14,000 ft. In another Instagram post, Vicky Kaushal is standing with men of the Indian Army. His hands are folded and he is smiling, as the jawans cheer him from behind. The caption reads, “Elated to be getting an opportunity to spend a few days with our Indian Army posted at 14,000ft altitude at the Indo-China border of Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh. #JaiJawaan”

Vicky also shared a few glimpses of his experience on his Insta stories. In one picture, he is seen dressed in a camo outfit and an army jacket with his name officially stitched in. “An honour like none other when the Indian army treats you as one of them,” he wrote with the picture. In another video, Vicky is driving an army buggy down muddy roads with relative ease.

Vicky Kaushal has several Bollywood films lined up for the coming future. He will be seen in Karan Johar’s upcoming multi-starrer Takht. He will also be essaying the role of India’s first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in Meghna Gulzar’s next film.
