#DeepVeerKiShaadi has officially begun. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone jetted off to their destination wedding in Italy on Saturday, 10 November.

The couple will be wed on 14-15 November at the gorgeous Lake Como, which also happens to be where Isha Ambani had her engagement ceremony earlier this year. But they are not the only ones who have fallen in love with this small town. It has been a popular retreat for the wealthy since Roman times and more recently, celebs such as George Clooney and Madonna have bought homes here. One of the most obvious reasons that makes Lake Como such a romantic wedding destination is its picturesque views. The lake is situated in Northern Italy with part of the Alps located between its southern arms.

The Spectacular Villas by the Shore

Ranveer and Deepika will have their wedding ceremony at Villa del Balbianello at Lake Como.

The region is known for it colourful villas, many of which are inhabited by celebrities. Ranveer and Deepika will tie the knot at the Villa del Balbianello, which used to be a Franciscan monastery and dates back to the 13th century. It overlooks Lake Como and has been featured in several films including Casino Royale and Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones.
