Govinda’s Nephew Found Dead at Andheri Residence
The aspiring filmmaker was 34 years old.
Actor Govinda’s nephew Janmendra Ahuja, also known as Dumpy, was found dead inside his home in Andheri, Mumbai, on Thursday, 24 January. The 34-year-old is the son of actor-director Kriti Kumar.
According to reports, officials from the Versova police found his body at around 6:30 am and claim he died of cardiac arrest.
Govinda and family members such as the actor’s nephew Krushna Abhishek and niece Ragini Khanna have reportedly reached Janmendra’s home in Versova. The final rites will allegedly be held at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile Parle.
The family and the Mumbai police are yet to put out an official statement on the matter.
Janmendra was an aspiring filmmaker and had directed the 2007 film Jahaan Jayega Humein Payega, which starred Govinda. He had also worked as an assistant director on Pyaar Deewana Hota Hai.
