Ekta Kapoor Reveals Jasmin Bhasin as the New ‘Naagin’
Along with Nia Sharma, actress Jasmine Bhasin roped in to star in the Naagin-4
Colors TV’s Naagin franchise has gained immense popularity since its very first season. And now Ekta Kapoor is back with the fourth season, Naagin - Bhagya Kaa Zehreela Khel and has revealed the new Naagin.
After announcing Nia Sharma as one of the leads in the show, last night Ekta Kapoor welcomed actress Jasmine Bhasin to the ‘world of Naagins’
“Welcome to the world of Nagins. @jasminbhasin in and as NAGIN Bhagya ka zehreela Khel ....” she wrote on Twitter.
Last seen in Star Plus’ Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji, Jasmine looks fiery in the new teaser. There were speculations that Jasmin could be one of the naagins in this season but she never confirmed the reports.
But after the announcement, Jasmine thanked Balaji Telefilms for the opportunity and shared the news on her Instagram handle too.
In October, Kapoor announced that Nia Sharma, known for her roles in Jamai Raja and Ishq Mein Marjawan, will play one of the leads in the fourth season. She took to Twitter to announce the news. But the speculation regarding the second lead continued.
According to new reports, Jasmin was one of the first to be approached for the show. Known as the bubbly young girl, Naagin is set to break that image. It would also be her first attempt at supernatural drama and she is quite excited about it. Sayantani Ghosh is also said to be joining the cast soon. The actors are already prepping up for their roles, and the show will go on floors soon.
Launched in 2015, the first two seasons of Naagin featured Mouni Roy and Adaa Khan as the female leads. As the show gained huge popularity, Surbhi Jyoti, Anita Hassanandani and Karishma Tanna were roped in for a third season. Arjun Bijlani, Karanvir Bohra and Pearl V Puri played the male leads in the previous seasons.
