The nation is celebrating its 73rd Independence Day, and Bollywood has taken to social media to send greetings to the nation on this special occasion. Sharing a photo of him saluting the tricolour, Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, “15th August our Independence Day .. JAI HIND !! Our pride our honour our celebration .. EVER”.
Ayushmann Khurrana and Vicky Kaushal posted photographs of them holding the flag, wishing everyone “Happy Independence Day”.
Taapsee Pannu, who recently starred in Mission Mangal, took to Twitter to share a video of her waving the flag. “A very Happy Independence to all Indians across the globe. Jai Hind”
Kangana Ranaut has a special message on this day. In a video shared by her sister Rangoli Chandel, the actor says, “There was a time when the Indian culture and traditions were hailed by the world. However, we seem to have lost that pride in our country. So, on this day let us all pledge to uphold all the values and be proud of India. Secondly, I would like to tell the youth that we have all been too entangled in our personal identities. Be it Hindu, Muslim or North and South Indians, we are quick to attach tags. Let us all pledge to uphold one identity - that of an Indian.”
