Speaking to Mumbai Mirror from Los Angeles, the singer revealed that he recorded two songs with Lady Gaga. “I have recorded two duets with Lady Gaga. Her portions are in English, while I will be singing in Hindi in my quintessential style. Hopefully, by the end of this year, the release will be green lit,” Bappi Lahiri told the publication.
Not just Lady Gaga, the composer has also collaborated with Akon.
“I have also worked with Akon two months back. The song will also be released soon,” Bappi said. Wait, we are not done yet. Tech house wizard Jamie Jones and DJ duo The Martinez Brothers have teamed up for the first time for a two-tracker ‘Bappi’. The title track, ‘Bappi’, begins with a bassline, trips through strings and sirens, with distinctive Indian vocals woven in between. “Bappi (Warehouse Mix) amplifies the groove. “It features a remix of my superhit song, ‘Jimmy, Jimmy Jimmy’ from Disco Dancer,” Bappi Lahiri adds.

British-Sri Lankan rapper MIA also used the score in Kala, her 2007 album, and the song even featured in the climax sequence of the Adam Sandler movie You Don't Mess With The Zohan. The song has a massive fan following in countries such as China, Korea, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan, and has found a place in the cover versions by Russians and Tibetan musicians.
