It’s almost a year since Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli tied the knot and the power couple are getting used to adjusting their married life to their busy schedules. While Anushka travels with Virat when he is playing a match, he also makes sure that he’s beside Anushka for every important occasion including her film releases. So, when The Quint met Anushka for a chat, she told us how she and Virat are always trying to balance their hectic work and personal life.

“Work takes up majority of my time. I was working literally two days before I got married and then was away for a week with Virat and again came back and started shooting for Sui Dhaaga. So I have always been working round the clock and back to back, so much so, that this year I have four releases.”

But the good thing is, Anushka says she really enjoys her work.

“I feel mentally good when I am working. At the same time, you have to create work-life balance, which I think I did even before I got married. Like, I was always somebody who understood that categorising is important. That this is my work and this is my personal life, is very important and I think both of us have managed to do that really well,” says the Zero actor.

“Given that we (Virat and Anushka) have two lives which are so busy equally, always traveling so much, all around the world, sometimes only one person stays in the house at one given time. This is what any new age young couple goes through, so we are just a good example for that.”

Anushka will next be seen in one of this year’s most awaited films Zero opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Zero, directed by Aanand L Rai, releases on 21 December.
