Amitabh, SRK, Akshay And Others React to Air India Plane Crash
Celebrities mourn the loss of life.
On 7 August, an Air India flight carrying passengers from Dubai to Kozhikode, Kerala crashed after skidding off the runway at the Karipur Airport. According to the Malappuram District Collector K Gopalakrishnan, 18 people died in the crash. He added that 17 of them have been identified and 16 others remain critical.
Many celebrities took to social media to express their sadness and shock over the unfortunate incident.
Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, "T 3620 - A terrible tragedy .. Air India crash in Kerala, Kozhikode airport , plane skids off the runway on landing in heavy rain .. Prayers .."
"My heart goes out to the passengers and crew members onboard the #AirIndia flight. Deepest condolences to the bereaved families who lost their loved ones. Thoughts and prayers..." wrote Shah Rukh Khan
Ajay Devgn too expressed his "deepest condolences to those who lost their loved ones."
Akshay's tweet read, "Terrible news! Praying for the safety of all the passengers and crew onboard the #AirIndia Express flight. My deepest condolences to those who have lost their loved ones"
There were total 190 passengers on board the Air India flight, including 174 adult passengers,10 infants, 4 cabin crew and 2 pilots. The injured are admitted in hospitals in Malappuram & Kozhikode
