‘Nepotism’ has been lingering in Bollywood’s air ever since actor Kangana Ranaut sparked that debate from the Koffee with Karan couch. Now, it seems like actor Taapsee Pannu too has hopped onto the bandwagon. In response to a tweet, Taapsee Pannu may or may not have taken a dig at the existence of nepotism in the Bollywood industry and Karan Johar’s role in it. “Hahahahha nice one. Just that Taapsee still doesn’t qualify to be there I am looking forward to seeing this episode. All you guys are hilarious”, she wrote on Twitter while responding to Vir Das’s tweet about his recent appearance on Koffee with Karan.

The tweet was a response to Vir Das sharing the video of him performing a short stand-up set during the final ‘Koffee Awards’ episode of the famous Indian celebrity talk show. In the video, Vir Das mentions Taapsee Pannu as a part of one of his jokes. Moreover, he himself takes a dig at the debate around nepotism in Bollywood.

It’s the tweeples who seem to have spotted Taapsee’s sentiment in disguise. Many of them even responded to her with encouraging words like, “Makers aren't secure enough to have a feisty, extremely talented female outsider, who speaks her mind, to be on their show. :)“

Whether or not Taapsee actually meant something with her words is naturally up for debate. But then again, why else would she go out of her way to tweet something so specific just after the season has ended? Is Taapsee taking forward the debate that Kangana started?
