Have Never Watched ‘Kasautii’: New Komolika Actor Aamna Shariff
Hina Khan had written a long note for Ekta Kapoor after she exited Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2.
After much speculation, Kasautii Zindagii Kay has a new Komolika. Ek Villain actor Aamna Sharif will take on Hina Khan’s role in the popular soap. She confirmed the news to Bombay Times and spoke about playing a negative role on screen for the first time. “It is very easy to be in your comfort zone and come back with a love story. However, this kind of role is challenging as well as exciting. So, when I was offered Komolika’s role, I immediately said yes,” she said. The actor is remembered for her role as Kashish from Kahiin Toh Hoga (2003-2007) and was last seen in Ek Thhi Naayika (2013).
When asked if she’s apprehensive about being compared to Hina, Aamna told the publication, “I haven’t seen the show, but I have heard that Hina was doing a commendable job. Urvashi Dholakia had played the character many years ago in Kasautii Zindagii Kay in such a powerful way that Komolika became a cult figure.”
Recently, Ekta Kapoor had taken to Twitter to announce that Hina Khan will no longer be a part of the reboot of Kasautii Zindagii Kay. She also wrote that her hunt for the new Komolika has begun. “Will miss you Komo @realhinakhan you’ve been awwwsome... Will do something big soon. Ab Komo kaun??????” she tweeted.
Hina Khan wrote a long note for Ekta Kapoor after exiting the show. She started with, “Only positive, content and happy people like you can see positivity and feel Happy about other people’s growth and successes. When an actor leaves a character and tries to make their dreams come true..”
Hina also said that Ekta Kapoor has taught her to be a humble person. “How can u not be inclusive!,when your name is ‘Ekta.’ You humble me and teach me humility every time I interact with you! Always learn so much from you! Thank you for appreciating Komo nd my professionalism. you are so Graceful..we shall kill it with a new venture super soon.”
