The Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Rajkummar Rao starrer Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga hit the screens on Friday, 1 February 2018. It also happens to be the first mainstream Hindi film to showcase a lesbian romance.

The film revolves around a typical Punjabi “happy” family’s acceptance of a blossoming romance between Sonam Kapoor (Sweety) and Regina Cassandra in a small town in Punjab. But who is Sonam’s love interest in the film? Here are 10 facts about South actor, Regina Cassandra.

1. Regina began anchoring at the age of nine for a kids channel, and appeared in many commercials after that.

2. She worked in her first feature film, Kanda Naal Mudhal at age 16 in 2005.

3. Regina took a break from films to complete her graduation in psychology from Women's Christian College, Chennai.

4. She has worked in over 30 Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films.

Director Shelly Chopra Dhar flew down to Chennai to narrate the script to me. Although apprehensive at first, Regina agreed to do the film because it was being helmed by a female director.
