Vikrant Massey Reveals Details About His Role in ‘Chhapaak’
The film is based on the story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.
Deepika Padukone has been receiving plenty of praise from fans and other Bollywood celebs after sharing a glimpse of her look in Chhapaak. The actor plays acid attack survivor and motivational speaker Laxmi Agarwal in the Meghna Gulzar directorial.
Her co-star Vikrant Massey has revealed details about his role in the film. He plays Laxmi’s partner, social activist Alok Dixit. “The film will showcase interesting dynamics between the two,” he told Mumbai Mirror.
Vikrant also said that the role required him to gain eight kilos and he will have to put on another three kilos over the course of the shoot. Apparently he’s been bingeing on sweets and junk food to prepare for the role.
Talking about sharing screen space with Deepika, Vikrant said he was both “nervous and excited”. According to him, “Working with an actress of her calibre is not just an opportunity but also a huge responsibility.”
