Tanushree Dutta is a name we have heard extensively in the past few months owing to her opening up about an alleged instance of sexual harassment she experienced by veteran actor Nana Patekar. What followed was an entire movement, with women calling out big names in Bollywood and the ill-treatment they have to go through on the daily in the industry.

Talking to The Quint, Tanushree spoke about her upcoming short film and how she aims to guide newcomers who might fall into the trap of exploitation.

“Not everybody has the privilege of going to an expensive shrink and talking it out. Not everybody has family.”

She explained why she wants to offer that guidance to them:

“My sister when she was a newcomer, she had me to talk to. I decided one day that when I have the opportunity I will play that role not just for my sister but for many other boys and girls.”
