In an exclusive chat with The Quint, supermodel & Bollywood actress Manasvi Mamgai has said that US President Donald Trump thinks that “Bollywood is bigger than Hollywood” and that he’s interested in improving the relations between the Hindi film industry and the USA.

“There could be grants for shooting of Bollywood movies in the US,” she said, prompted by her godfather Shalabh Kumar, who is an advisor to the US President on financial matters. Shalabh Kumar was the biggest individual donor to Trump’s presidential campaign and is the founder of Republican Hindu Coalition, which had backed Trump’s presidential bid.

27-year-old Manasvi was born in New Delhi. She came to the limelight after winning the 2010 Miss India pageant. After trying her hand at modeling and acting, she’s now moved her base to the US and has been building her career in cultural diplomacy.

Manasvi calls herself a “Modi fan” and thinks that “Hindus should not shy away from their religious identity.” She’s performed in a rally to support Donald Trump and thinks he is a “daring businessman” and an able leader.
