The trailer for Milap Zaveri’s Marjaavaan has released and the only way to really describe it is over the top. Starring Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh, it serves up hammy 80s-style action sequences that would make Mithun da proud, and plenty of cringeworthy dialogues.

Watch the trailer here:

Marjaavaan has marks the second collaboration between Sidharth and Riteish after Ek Villain, whose dialogues were also written by Zaveri. The opening of the trailer introduces us to Sidharth Malhotra who, judging by his fondness for filmy dialogues, we can only assume serves gravity-defying justice on his way to his local shayari meet-up. He pauses just long enough to play a round of charades and fall in love with a mute Tara Sutaria. All is rosy till a pint-sized Riteish Deshmukh arrives on the scene humming ‘Teri Galliyan’ from Ek Villain and appears to be bent on ruining Sidharth’s love life in this film too.

Marjaavaan has been written and directed by Milap Milan Zaveri and bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, and Krishan Kumar along with Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikhil Advani. It releases in theatres on 8 November.
