Shah Rukh Khan had recently revealed that he has signed no other film after Zero, but has a number of productions lined up, including some for Netflix. According to reports by Mumbai Mirror, the actor’s production house has now acquired rights for the Spanish series Money Heist.

The show, currently in its third season, will be adapted in the form of a feature film. It revolves around a criminal mastermind named "The Professor" who has a plan to print billions of euros in the Royal Mint of Spain. To help him carry out the ambitious plan, he recruits eight people with certain abilities. The group of thieves take hostages to aid in their negotiations with the authorities, who strategize to come up with a way to capture The Professor. Eventually, the robbers prepare for a showdown with the police.

The adaptation is currently in the scripting stage and Shah Rukh’s production is working on it. His last film production was Badla, starring Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan. Co-incidentally, it was also a remake of a Spanish film named The Invisible Guest.

It was recently announced that Shah Rukh is all set to produce a horror series for Netlix. Titled Betaal, it’ll be co-produced by Gaurav Verma, Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Netflix. Written and directed by Patrick Graham, the show will be co-directed by Nikhil Mahajan.

Reportedly, the horror series will feature Vineet Kumar Singh of Mukkabaaz fame, and Aahana Kumra. Patrick Graham has earlier directed Radhika Apte-starrer Ghoulfor Netflix.

This will be Red Chillies’ third production for Netflix, after Bard of Blood starring Emraan Hashmi and Class of 83, starring Bobby Deol. It is directed by Atul Sabharwal. The film tells the story of an upright policeman-turned-police instructor whose students grapple with the complexities of honour, morals and devotion towards the nation. The release date for Bard of Blood, was recently announced as September 27.
