Amitabh Bachchan, who recently starred along side Taapsee Pannu in Sujoy Ghosh's thriller Badla took to Twitter to complain about how nobody was really shouting from the roof tops about the success of the film.

Bachchan addressed the producers and the industry in general for ignoring the "silent success" of the thriller.

"About time someone started talking about this silent success .. !! because neither the Producer, nor the distributor, nor the on line Producer, or any else in the Industry, in general .. has even spent a nano second to compliment the success of this film #Badla .. thk u," Bachchan wrote.

Produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, Badla, released on 8 March, recently crossed Rs 85 crore at the domestic box office. With the budget of the film being around Rs 10-15 crores reportedly, Badla has turned out to be one of the most successful films of 2019.

Shah Rukh responded to Bachchan with a witty request for a success party.

"Sir hum toh wait kar rahein hain ki aap party kab de rahein hain hum sabko! We r waiting outside Jalsa every nite!" he said.

Badla is an official adaptation of the 2017 Spanish film The Invisible Guest, and follows an interaction between a lawyer (Amitabh) and a businesswoman (Taapsee), with the latter insisting that she has been wrongfully framed for the murder of her lover.
