News is in that the domestic distribution rights of Salman Khan’s next big release Tubelight have been sold for a record price. Directed by Kabir Khan, who along with Salman delivered the blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan in 2015, Tubelight is based against the backdrop of the 1962 Indo-China war and its all India distribution rights have been sold to NH Studioz for a whopping Rs 132 crore. This however does not include the distribution rights for Central India (CI), which has been retained by Salman’s father Salim Khan.

With this, the Salman-starrer becomes the highest distribution deal till date, a record which was held by Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale, the rights of which was sold for Rs 125 crore.

Tubelight features Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and Sohail Khan. Shah Rukh will also be seen making a cameo in the film. The film is expected to release this Eid.
